Boys and Girls Clubs clean-up day
Thank you all for pushing to your members the Kiwanis One Day Project. The playground was successfully covered in mulch for the children at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County at the Roy McBean Club. Please see the pictures attached and thank your members who attended. Signup sheet is attached. We even had some Key Club volunteers. We had 17 volunteers and a couple of Boys & Girls Clubs staff volunteering for the day. The 1st project was completed and they were able to move to a second project.
Thank you again and if your clubs are ever looking for service projects, you can always contact your local Boys & Girls clubs. Thank you so much for choosing Boys & Girls Clubs this year for your Kiwanis One Day Projects, we are so very grateful.

We need you to sign up . . .
We're rapidly approaching this year's Bellringing and we have begun to take names of volunteers to ring the bell for The Salvation Army at Longboat Key Publix. It begins on Friday, November 24th and ends on Christmas Eve, December 24th. This year we have shortened the time of the shifts from 1-1/2 hours to 1-1/4 hours starting at 9:00AM and ending at 5:45PM. Just go to the Bellringing Page of this website and pick which times and days you would like to work. then please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so that I can put your name on the master sheet.
Then, a big THANK YOU to our Vice President Glenn Peterson who has taken 11 slots, and ex-Kiwanian Claude Engel who has taken 10 slots. We're looking for someone to take 12 slots!!
HOWEVER . . . WE NEED SOME IMMEDIATE HELP!!
To take the pressure off of filling the early slots, we need volunteers to handle the first 26 open slots. Those are:

Saturday Nov 25th 9am, 10:15am, 12:45pm, 2pm, and 4:30pm
Sunday Nov 26th 9am, 10:15am, 3:15pm and 4:15pm.
Monday Nov 27th 12:45pm, 2:00pm, 3:15pm, and 4:30pm
Tuesday Nov 28th 10:15am, 2:00pm,and 4:30pm
Wednesday Nov 29th 2:00pm, 3:15pm, and 4:30pm
Thursday Nov 30th 10:15am, 11:30am, and 12:45pm
Please email me if you can fill any of these slots.
We are fortunate this year to have the Rotary Club of Longboat Key step up and take Friday, December 1st, Saturday, December 2nd and Sunday, December 3rd, for the Bellringing. That is the Lawn Party weekend, so it takes the pressure off of us so that we can concentrate on our main event. THANK YOU ROTARY CLUB!
We are blessed also to have Christ Presbyterian Church of Longboat Key also ringing with us.
The up-to-date schedules are on the Bellringing Schedule page where you can see all of the times still available. And a last request, if you are a member and unable to take a time slot, please ask a friend to cover for you.
